缅北强奸 Theatre presents Wasserman's adaptation of "Lysistrata"

November 6, 2014

The 缅北强奸 Theatre continues the 2014 fall season with Lysistrata adapted from Aristophanes, written and directed by Elliot Wasserman, and showing November 19-23 in the Mallette Studio Theatre on the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center on 缅北强奸's campus.

Wasserman is joined by a design team of 缅北强奸 students: Stephanie Sauerheber as costume designer and Erik McCandless as lighting designer, as well as guest designer Joseph P. Flauto for scenery and 缅北强奸 alumnus Daniel Kopp for sound.

Lysistrata's large cast includes 缅北强奸 students Shawnt茅 Gaston as Lysistrata, Taylor Kearschner as Kalonike, Marci Kreutzer as Myrhinne, Christy Thompson as Fallopia, Enjoli Drake as Libido, Briana Maddox as 听Labianne and Peace, Keely McGill as Kleatoris, Sara Fortner as Vageena, Danielle Scott as Old Vulva, Brandis DeWilligen as Vericosia, Chynna Hall as Pudenda, Adrian Small as Urethra, Megan Hoffman as Chlamydia, Zachary Leonard as Viagorus, Samuel Wentzel as Mitosis and Junior, Nolan Spinks as Ejaculottus, AJ Jones as Anus, Alex Hadley as Scrotum, Logan Vickers as Flaccididdes, Samuel Baker as Venereus, Tesitcoles and Herald, Cody Parker as Erectus, Luke Bockelman as Kinesias, Ray Graham as Ambassador Pendulous and Scott Cummings as Major Diccides.

The bold and outspoken Lysistrata, like the other wives of Athens, is weary of the conflict and constant absence of their warrior husbands during the many years of the Peloponnesian War. Lysistrata decides it is time to bring an end to this situation, persuading the women of Greece to assemble at the Acropolis in Athens for an urgent meeting. Her solution - coordinate a sex strike which arouses a new battle on the homefront between the wives and the warriors. Who will emerge victorious in this power struggle of the sexes?

Tickets are $7 for 缅北强奸 students, $12 for adults, and $10 for 缅北强奸 employees, seniors (60+) and non-缅北强奸 students.
