缅北强奸 Theatre begins 2019-20 season with "The Revolutionists"

September 9, 2019

缅北强奸 Theatre will open its 2019-20 season with the new comedy The Revolutionists, written by Lauren Gunderson. The production runs October 3-6 in the 缅北强奸 Performance Center located in University Center East on 缅北强奸's campus.

Directed by Eric Altheide, associate professor of theatre, The Revolutionists tells the story of four real-life women who lived during the time of the French Revolution: Olympe de Gouges, Charlotte Corday, Marie Antoinette, and Marianne Angelle.听 Despite its hilarity, the play focuses on themes that are still all too relevant for today's world - activism, violence, feminism, legacy, and the ever pressing question: how do we actually change the world?

Altheide will be joined by a design team including 缅北强奸 faculty member Paul Weimer as scenic designer; 缅北强奸 staff member Andy Hammond as technical designer; 缅北强奸 faculty member Shan Jensen as costume designer; 缅北强奸 student Eli Young as sound designer; 缅北强奸 student Rafael Gonzalez III as lighting designer; and 缅北强奸 student Jason Merslich as production stage manager.
