My name is Clara Boarman, and I am currently working towards my Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management. I chose business because I love working with people, especially when we're all motivated to reach a common goal. Project management is such a passion of mine; I鈥檓 incredibly organized and dedicated to projects I take on. This career choice felt like a natural progression of my strengths. 听
My role at the Bronstein Center includes organizing and uplifting educational programs, such as support groups and university courses. I鈥檝e been with the Center for over a year and half in various roles. I started here as an undergraduate intern working directly with the GWEP Project Coordinator. When I transitioned to graduate school for my MBA, I became a Graduate Assistant for Dr. Katie Ehlman, Director of the Bronstein Center. In the summer of 2024, I worked as a full-time Temporary Project Coordinator for the GWEP. This role specifically focused on change management.听
I utilize what I have learned from almost all my MBA courses in my work at the Bronstein Center. My graduate-level classes have taught me high-level articulation skills that are necessary when working with external partners. My management courses have allowed me to navigate difficult conversations and motivate our partners to meet our shared goals. And of course, my project management classes have helped me build project timelines and organize the projects I鈥檓 given.听听
The experiences and knowledge that I have gained from working for the Bronstein Center help me in so many aspects of my life. I recently accepted a job offer as an Associate Project Manager for ComScore, an international market research firm with a location in Evansville. In my interview process, I relied heavily on my experiences with the Bronstein Center to answer typical interview questions. The business market right now is saturated, and finding a local position directly in my aspiring career field was an incredibly difficult feat. It would not have been possible without my progressive experience at the Center and the support of the whole team. They gave me a level of independence and control in my projects that other organizations would not have been able to do. The team here has truly provided me every opportunity to hone my professional skills.听听听
I would like to utilize what I have learned in my future career by implementing the Bronstein Center鈥檚 methods of project management and group facilitation. In my upcoming role as a Project Manager, I鈥檒l be expected to interface with Fortune 500 clients. Doing so requires professionalism, timeliness, and confidence. The Bronstein Center has taught me all three. I could not speak more highly of my time here 鈥� I wouldn鈥檛 trade it for the world. 听
