His work is in numerous public and private collections including the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. and the Australian National University. He continues to widely exhibit his work at the national level.

Memorial Day, Evansville, IN; Mourning Drum; Monk with Umbrella鈥擳hailand; and Woman of Islam鈥擳hailandGENIE WOOLMAN聽is a world-traveled and widely exhibited artist. Her works are included in collections as far away as Africa, the Philippines, Thailand, and the Woman鈥檚 Museum of Art in Washington, D.C. She studied at the prestigious Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, where she came into contact with numerous other artists of her time as well as their master works. Additionally, she worked as a WPA artist during the 1930s. She resides in Evansville, Indiana, and continues to produce art.

Poetry

鈥淧ittsburgh Morning After Rain鈥濃斅聽most recent book is聽STREET, a collection of his poems and the photos of Charlee Brodsky, published in 2005 by Bottom Dog Press. Also in 2005, he wrote and produced聽Dumpster, an independent feature film. He is the Baker Professor of English at Carnegie Mellon University.

鈥淪ignal-to-Noise Ratio鈥濃斅爓ork has been published or is forthcoming in聽Prairie Schooner, American Letters & Commentary, Berkeley Poetry Review, Fourteen Hills, George Washington Review, Illuminations, Indiana Review, Limestone, Nimrod, Ninth Letter, Notre Dame Review, South Dakota Quarterly, The Journal, The Spoon River Poetry Review, The Texas Review, and dozens of other journals in the U.S. He has translated Austrian avant-gardist, Friederike Mayr枚cker; Brazilian poet, L锚do Ivo; and the poems of the Portuguese language鈥檚 only Nobel Laureate, Jos茅 Saramago.

鈥淟etting Words Fall鈥濃CHRISTY EFFINGER聽is a graduate student in English at Indiana State University, where she won an Academy of American Poets Prize. Her flash fiction has appeared in聽elimae. Christy is an assistant editor for聽Snow*Vigate, an online journal of prose poetry and flash fiction.

鈥凌辞辞迟蝉鈥浓赌IVER ARNEGARD鈥橲聽ancestors were Norwegian homesteaders who settled in western North Dakota near the rim of the Badlands. His poetry and prose have appeared in such journals as the聽Missouri Review, Willow Springs, ZYZZYVA, and elsewhere. He is working on his first novel,聽Killdeer.

鈥淕iving Thanks鈥濃PRISCILLA ATKINS聽grew up in Illinois, attended college in Massachusetts, lived in Hawaii for ten years, and is currently the arts/reference librarian at Hope College, in Holland, Michigan. Her poems appear in recent issues of聽Raritan, Poetry London, Southern Humanities Review,聽and听厂丑别苍补苍诲辞补丑.

鈥淔ort Scott Cemetery鈥濃ELIZABETH SCHULTZ聽centers her poetry in the space where nature and people intersect, not only in Kansas and Michigan where she lives but also on the oceans鈥 islands to which she sails.

鈥淭he Lazarus Division鈥濃聽teaches creative writing at Augustana College and his work has appeared in over seventy-five publications. He was recently a Visiting Fellow at Oxford, has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and was a finalist for the聽New Letters聽Literary Award. Although he frequently visits Ireland and England, he lives in Sioux Falls where he enjoys thunderstorms rolling across the prairie. He is the author of聽Traveling Through History聽(2005) and聽Draglines聽(2006). His third collection,聽Finding the Gossamer, was recently accepted for publication by a press in Ireland.

鈥淭he Heart of it All鈥濃PETER DESY鈥橲聽migraines have greatly abated since he鈥檚 taken early retirement from the Ohio University English Department. He has poems recently published or forthcoming from聽Shenandoah, Green Mountains Review, Ontario Review, Connecticut Review聽and many other journals. Desy has published a full-length poetry collection,聽Driving from Columbus, and two chapbooks.

鈥淎耻驳耻蝉迟鈥浓赌ALISON BAUMANN聽suffers late-summer droughts on a small farm in Posey County, Indiana. Her poems and essays have been published in numerous regional journals as well as the聽Hudson Review聽and the聽Southern Review. She is honored to be making her second appearance in the聽Southern Indiana Review.

鈥凄别尘别苍迟颈补鈥浓赌GREG MOGLIA聽is a veteran of twenty-seven years as adjunct professor of Philosophy of Education at N.Y.U. and thirty-seven years as a high school teacher of physics, psychology and chemistry. His poetry has been accepted in over seventy journals in the U.S., Canada, and England, as well as five anthologies. Moglia is a four-time winner of an Allan Ginsberg Poetry Award sponsored by the Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College. His poem 鈥淲hy Do Lovers Whisper?鈥 was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2005. He lives in Huntington, N.Y.

鈥淏reaking Bird at KFC鈥JON TRIBBLE鈥橲聽poems have appeared in journals and anthologies, including聽Ploughshares, Poetry, Crazyhorse, Quarterly West,聽and聽The Jazz Poetry Anthology. He teaches at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he is the managing editor of聽Crab Orchard Review聽and the series editor of the Crab Orchard Award Series in Poetry published by SIU Press.

鈥淎gainst the Abstract鈥濃DAVID JAMES鈥聽most recent chapbook is聽I Will Peel This Mask Off聽from March Street Press, 2004. Six of his one-act plays have been produced off-Broadway in New York. He teaches for Oakland Community College in Michigan.

鈥淰辞飞鈥浓赌MATTHEW GUENETTE鈥橲聽poetry, prose, and book reviews have appeared in聽Another Chicago Magazine, Diagram, The Greensboro Review, Indiana Review, Interim, Melic Review, Passages North, Poetry Midwest, Poetry & Plays, Quarterly West, Sarasota Review, The Spoon River Poetry Review, WordsOnWalls聽and many other publications. His chapbook,聽A Hush of Something Endless, was just published by RopeWalk Press.

Fiction

鈥淲hen Jesus Calls鈥濃LIAM CALLANAN聽is the author of聽The Cloud Atlas. His new novel,聽All Saints, comes out next spring. He teaches in the creative writing program at the University of Wisconsin鈥揗ilwaukee.

鈥淛udy鈥檚 Circ鈥濃H. WILLIAM TAEUSCH, a physician and graduate of a few summers at Squaw Valley Community of Writers, has been writing fiction for over twenty years. His short stories have been published in聽Manhattan Literary Review, Epicenter, Red Cedar Review,聽and聽Hurricane Review. A novel,聽Products of Conception, is completed and another is on the way to delivery.

鈥淟ung Girl鈥濃STEPHANIE DICKINSON鈥橲聽poetry and fiction have appeared in Waterstone, Northwest Review, Mudfish, Portland Review, Green Mountains Review, Columbia Review, Feminist Studies, among others. Along with Rob Cook she co-edits the literary journal聽Skidrow Penthouse.听Half Girl, her first novel, won the Hackney Award (Birmingham-Southern) for best unpublished novel of 2002. It will be published this year by Spuyten Duyvil. Her story 鈥淎 Lynching in Stereoscope鈥 was reprinted in 2005聽Best American Series Nonrequired Reading, edited by Dave Eggers.

鈥淎 Public of Two鈥濃聽lives in Rome and Vitorchiano, Italy, where she directs the Centro Pokkoli Creative Writing Center, which hosts the Kenyon Review Italy Writing Workshop (聽聽). Her novel, The Etruscan (Wynkin deWorde, Galway, Ireland, 2004) was reviewed in the Fall 2005 issue of Southern Indiana Review. (聽www.theetruscan.com聽)

Nonfiction

鈥淭he Cuba in My Mind鈥濃STEPHEN DUFRECHOU聽is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a graduate of the University of Memphis. He has contributed poetry to聽The Sequoya Review. Currently he is working on a novel as well as a memoir about his family鈥檚 experience in Revolutionary Cuba.

鈥淏ake Off!鈥濃聽is a graduate of University of Michigan. Her poems have appeared in聽Nimrod International Journal, Rattle, William & Mary Review, South Dakota Review, Puerto del Sol, Poet Lore, and other journals. She is the winner of the Crucible Poetry Prize 2005 and the 2005 MacGuffin National Poet Hunt. She owns an award-wining gallery in Southfield, Michigan, and is co-editor of聽Mona Poetica, an anthology of poetry on the Mona Lisa published by聽Mayapple Press聽(Winter 2005).

鈥淏reakfast for Izzy鈥濃CALVIN MILLS聽was raised in Eureka, California. He now lives and writes in Port Angeles, Washington. 鈥淏reakfast for Izzy鈥 is an excerpt from a memoir in progress. Other excerpts are forthcoming in聽Quills and Pixelsand听罢辞测辞苍. His short stories have appeared in聽The Caribbean Writer聽and聽The Timber Creek Review聽and are forthcoming in聽Short Story聽and听贰辩耻颈苍辞虫. Mills was awarded the Charlotte and Isidor Paiewonsky Prize from the Caribbean Writer in 2005.

She is an assistant professor of English at St. Louis Community College-Meramec and lives with her husband and son in the city of St. Louis.
